This privacy notice describes how the official website of Sichenia Gruppo Ceramiche S.p.A. (www.sichenia.it) manages the processing of personal data of users and visitors who browse it and use the online services connected to it.

3. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

A. Browsing data and system logs

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (e.g., IP addresses, browser type, operating system, device parameters).

B. Data provided voluntarily via contact forms and catalogue downloads

The voluntary and explicit submission of messages via forms on the website (e.g., Contact, Careers, Catalogue Request) entails the acquisition of common personal data such as: name, surname, email address, telephone number, company, and message content.

  • Purpose: To reply to technical, commercial, or support requests, and to send requested promotional materials and catalogues.
  • Legal basis: Performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

C. Newsletter subscription and commercial communications

Subject to prior express and free consent, contact data (name and email) will be processed for the periodic dispatch of newsletters, updates on ceramic collections, invitations to trade fairs and industry events.

  • Delivery platform: Mailing list management and dispatch are carried out via the Brevo platform (Sendinblue SAS – with servers located within the European Union).
  • Legal basis: Explicit consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.

D. Cookies and statistical tracking tools (Google Analytics 4)

The website uses essential technical cookies and, subject to user consent, aggregate statistical analysis tools (Google Analytics 4 provided by Google Ireland Limited) configured with IP masking and consent management via Google Consent Mode v2.

  • Purpose: To measure website performance and optimize user experience.
  • Legal basis: Consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) expressed and manageable at any time via the cookie banner and the “Manage consent” panel.

4. NATURE OF DATA PROVISION

  • Provision of data for contact forms is optional but necessary to receive a response.
  • Provision of data for the newsletter and non-essential cookies is entirely optional: refusal or withdrawal of consent does not affect browsing on the website.

7. TRANSFERS OF DATA OUTSIDE THE EU

Data processed by this website resides on servers located within the European Union.
Where third-party service providers (e.g., Google Ireland Ltd) transfer data outside the European Economic Area (e.g., to the United States), such transfer is carried out strictly pursuant to Chapter V of the GDPR, based on:

  • Adequacy decisions of the European Commission (e.g., EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
  • Execution of standard contractual clauses (Standard Contractual Clauses – SCC) adopted by the European Commission with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.
